How does the process work?

 

In a slightly more structured way to The Apprentice(!) participants are observed by professional assessors during a series of exercises, all designed to simulate tasks that reflect real life for a particular role. Typical exercises include group discussions (which can either be competitive or collaborative), one-to-one role plays, analysis exercises, inbox exercises, presentations and case studies etc. Each participant is observed by a different assessor during each exercise ensuring that multiple assessments are made and bias is minimised. Assessors use the ORCE process to translate their observations into an evaluation of the participant’s performance against the specific behavioural competencies being assessed. At the end of the event, all the data from each assessor is compiled for each participant resulting in overall scores for how they performed against those competencies.

 

 

The data from the event can be made even more powerful by including psychometric profiling, Competency Based Interviews and 360º feedback.
