Surveys

Surveys allow you to quickly gather data on how people feel about different subjects. You may already use customer surveys, but why not find out what your own people think as well?

You may not care how people feel, but the fact is how they feel will have an impact on their performance and productivity. Surveys can provide useful information on how people within your business feel about different issues. We use surveys in a number of different ways:

When used as an organisation-wide employee survey they can be designed to highlight some of the key people management issues that your organisation may be experiencing. It is intended to be the start of a dynamic process to allow you to critically examine how effectively you are utilising your people resource.

When used as a team diagnostic, surveys are particularly powerful for assessing how teams view different aspects of their effectiveness. We typically use surveys as part of our team development workshops. Having worked with the team to define "what good looks like" for the team we use the output of a survey to clarify key issues for the team with a view to defining a team action plan.

Surveys have the flexibility to be used as a tool to provide individuals with feedback on how others view them. This 360º feedback can be used as part of your appraisal or performance management process, as part of a management development programme or when coaching individuals. We can help you design and implement a bespoke 360º survey either based on your own competency model or our own generic competency model.

Exit Surveys allow you to find out why people are leaving the organisation. We have a tool that allows us to develop online surveys and we can help you design and implement a bespoke exit survey process that will allow you to gather and analyse exit data in a structured way.

Surveying people makes them feel involved, it makes them feel you care enough to ask them what they think and it can provide you with the opportunity to gain peoples’ buy-in to change. The data gathered will also raise your awareness of any issues that may be having an effect on the business and enable you to plan how to address those issues.
